When Is Blue Hour Today?

Blue hour usually happens twice a day: once before sunrise and once after sunset. It is the period when the sun is below the horizon and the sky still holds a cool blue glow.

The exact time changes every day. Latitude, season, and local sunrise and sunset times all affect when blue hour starts and how long it lasts.

Check both the morning and evening result, then arrive 15 to 30 minutes early. The best color often changes quickly, especially in cities where street lights and building lights begin to balance with the sky.

If today is cloudy, blue hour may still be useful for soft light, but the deep blue sky can be less visible. If you are near the equator, blue hour is usually shorter. At higher latitudes, it can last longer.
